On the 15th January we began editing our film trailer after school. We began by putting all our footage onto the Mac computer and opened Final Cut Pro, the software we use in order to edit all our footage. We had to create a new project and then import all our filming into it. Once this was done we were ready to put all our scenes into the order we had decided on our storyboard, onto the timeline. After Sam had put the scenes in the correct order, Chris added transitions to make the film trailer more fluent and more professional. Sam also cut some of the shots down as either they were too long or there were bits we didnt need. I thought we could put our titles in for the time being just so we had it all split up and that when it came to the next editing session we knew where our titles were going to be and all we had to do was change the font.
Sam was able to stay whilst me and Chris went home and he managed to get some more editing done and left the film trailer in a good position, ready for us to edit next time. He was able to make some of the scenes quieter as some were too loud due to the wind or other noises. We are going to have a voice over played over the top and music so we dont need sound in the actual shots.
